What’s coming to the archive this month?
Admittedly, we are more behind that what we anticipated for jumpstarting our site. Because of that, we’re shifting our priorities a little bit and putting the weekly press on the backburning. So for this month, we’ll be putting most of our focus on:
- Uploading publications to the archive
- Adding more posts to our blog
- Working on the archive directory
The first is a given, since it’s our main reason for starting this site. The second is so that you can get to know us a little bit more, and so we can share things that we find interesting or helpful that aren’t publications. It also opens up a way for us to communicate with you. At some point, we would like to add a forum, but that’s not viable currently.
When are these going to happen?
As far as the publications go, we’re going to try to add them as soon as we can. Certain publications, like several of the magazines and newspapers we plan on releasing through our weekly press section, have to be typed out manually to respect certain copyright laws. Even though the publication itself is free to upload, some of the scanned images of the pages can be claimed by those who scanned them. So, it will take longer for us to add them to our site because of that.
For the blog posts, we plan on posting about 10 as soon as we can so that we can have more content, and then once a week going forward. If we get more writers in the future, they will set their own schedule for posting.
Working on the archive directory is part of the site’s upkeep, so that will be an ongoing process, but the look may change in the early stages of our site.
